Dental Fees and Payment Options Kalgoorlie
Dental fees depend on the care required. Smile Dental Clinic explains recommended treatment and provides an estimate before planned care where practicable.
How dental fees are determined
The cost of dental care depends on the examination findings, treatment complexity, materials, number of visits and services provided. A meaningful estimate often requires a clinical assessment and, where indicated, diagnostic records.
Estimates and informed decisions
Before planned treatment, the dentist will explain the proposed care, alternatives and likely fees where practicable. If the treatment plan changes because of new clinical findings, the team will discuss the change and updated cost before proceeding where circumstances allow.
- Ask for a written treatment estimate for planned care.
- Check which stages or visits are included.
- Ask about possible additional services or laboratory costs.
- Contact your health fund with the expected dental item numbers.
Health funds and HICAPS
Smile Dental Clinic can submit eligible private health-fund claims through HICAPS. HICAPS is a claiming facility, not a health fund. Your insurer determines whether a benefit is payable and the amount. Any difference between the fee and approved benefit is payable by the patient.

Payment options
Afterpay
Smile Dental Clinic accepts Afterpay for eligible payments, subject to Afterpay approval, spending limits and current terms.
Zip Money
Smile Dental Clinic accepts Zip Money for eligible payments, subject to credit approval, fees, interest-free period conditions and Zip’s current terms.
National Dental Plan
Eligible applicants may be able to spread approved treatment costs. Applications remain subject to the finance provider’s assessment, fees and terms.
Superannuation support
In limited circumstances, an external service such as SuperCare may assist with an application for compassionate release of superannuation. ATO and fund approval are not guaranteed, fees may apply and this is not financial advice.
Government dental programs
Eligible children may receive covered basic dental services through CDBS, and eligible Veteran Card holders may receive DVA-funded dental care subject to program rules. These programs determine eligibility, benefits and approvals.
Frequently asked questions
Can the clinic give me an exact price before an examination?
Not usually. The dentist may need to assess the problem and any relevant diagnostic records before confirming appropriate treatment and a meaningful estimate.
Does my health fund cover the full fee?
Not necessarily. Benefits depend on your product, limits, waiting periods, item numbers and provider arrangement. The insurer confirms the amount payable.
Are payment-plan applications guaranteed?
No. Payment plans and finance options are subject to eligibility, approval, limits, fees and provider terms.
Can I access superannuation for dental treatment?
Compassionate release may be available in limited circumstances under Australian Government rules. Approval is not guaranteed. Consider independent financial advice before applying.
