Cancellation & Missed Appointment Policy

Last updated: 2 July 2026

We reserve appointment time exclusively for you, and short-notice cancellations and missed appointments prevent other patients, including those needing urgent care, from being seen. This policy explains what we ask of our patients regarding cancellations, and applies equally to appointments made online, by phone, or in person.

1. Notice for Cancellations or Rescheduling

We ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows us to offer the appointment time to another patient.

2. Missed Appointments and Late Cancellations

We understand that plans change. At this time, we do not charge a fee for a missed or late-cancelled appointment, but we do ask for as much notice as possible as a courtesy to our other patients and our team.

3. Repeated Missed Appointments

Where a pattern of missed or late-cancelled appointments occurs, we may ask for a deposit to secure future bookings, or may need to review our ability to continue offering flexible scheduling.

4. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that genuine emergencies and unforeseen circumstances arise. If you are unable to provide the requested notice due to illness, an emergency, or another exceptional circumstance, please contact us as soon as possible, we assess these situations on a case-by-case basis and apply discretion accordingly.

5. How to Cancel or Reschedule

You can cancel or reschedule an appointment by phoning us on (08) 9256 2588, emailing admin@dacv.com.au, or through our online booking page where available.

6. Questions

If you have any questions about this policy, please contact our team directly.
