Our Guiding Principle

Dentistry is a YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) industry. Content about dental health directly affects patient decision-making, safety, and wellbeing. We take this responsibility seriously. Any AI tools we use are employed only to help us meet, and exceed, the high content standards required in Australian regulated healthcare.

What We Use AI For

We use AI tools selectively and purposefully in the following areas:

• YMYL Compliance Monitoring – AI assists us in reviewing patient-facing content to identify areas that may not meet the high accuracy and trustworthiness standards required for health and dental information.
• Content Currency Checks – AI helps flag content that may be outdated relative to current clinical guidelines, AHPRA advertising standards, or changes in dental practice.
• AHPRA Advertising Compliance – We use AI to cross-check content against the AHPRA Advertising Guidelines and the Dental Board of Australia Code of Conduct, helping us identify non-compliant language such as unsubstantiated claims, comparative advertising, or testimonials that breach regulations.
• Content Drafting Support – AI may be used to assist in drafting informational content about dental treatments, procedures, and patient care. All such drafts are written to serve the patient with accurate, useful, and compliant information.
• Structured Data and Accessibility – AI is used to help structure content for readability and ensure information is clearly presented for all patients.

What We Do Not Use AI For

• AI is never used to provide individual clinical advice or diagnoses.
• AI does not replace the clinical judgment of our registered dentists.
• AI is not used to make treatment decisions or recommendations for specific patients.
• We do not use AI to generate misleading, exaggerated, or unsubstantiated health claims.

All Content Is Reviewed by Our Dentists

This is non-negotiable. Whether AI is used in the drafting or review process or not, all clinical and patient-facing content published on this website is reviewed and approved by a registered dentist before it is published or updated.

Our principal dentist, Dr Desmond Ng, and our clinical team ensure that all information on this site is:

• Clinically accurate and consistent with current evidence-based dental practice
• Compliant with AHPRA Advertising Guidelines
• Free from unsubstantiated claims or misleading language
• Appropriate for a general patient audience

AI assists our team, it does not replace them.

AHPRA Compliance and AI

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Dental Board of Australia set strict advertising standards for registered health practitioners. Our use of AI is specifically designed to help us uphold these standards, not circumvent them.

Where AI is used in content creation, we ensure:

• No testimonials or before/after images are used in a way that breaches section 133 of the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law
• No comparative claims are made about our services versus competitors
• All claims about treatment outcomes are qualified appropriately (e.g., “results vary between patients”)
• Content does not create unrealistic expectations about dental treatments
• References to clinical evidence are checked against published, peer-reviewed sources

Our registered practitioners hold ultimate responsibility for all published content, regardless of the tools used in its preparation.

Your Information and AI

We do not share any patient information, enquiry data, or personal details with AI tools. All patient communication is handled securely and in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
